So suiciding is when you have two houses for pres but you only really see yourself in one so you only list that one. It is NOT recommended unless you really really would hate and immediately drop your second choice house if you got a bid. By suiciding, you are NOT guaranteed a bid and you won’t be able to rush again for a full year because you signed the MRABA. If you maximize and list both on bid night then you are guaranteed a bid and even if you aren’t on the first bid list for your first choice, you could still end up there as a quota addition. By only listing one house, I think you only get the bid if you are on their A list. Pnms that respect the system and maximize their options are rewarded

Suicide bidding is not an option this year

It is not true that suiciding prevents you from accepting another bid during that year. If you have two houses and only put down one, the binding agreement is only for that one house. If you decline a bid or accept and drop THEN you may not COB and must wait a year until next formal rush. And this A list crap that people keep bringing up does not mean anything; if you bid match with your suicide house you get that bid, but if they reach quota before they match with you then you are done with formal rush. If you really really hate your second choice then you can suicide and take your chances. It’s an option but you may regret it when you see others in that house having fun on game days and you’re left completely out.
