Sisterhood vs pref

quota is determined on the amount of girls that attend pref. So if more girls are attending pref than last year then yes the quota will be higher

Keep in mind if you attend pref and you maximize your options that you are getting a bid. So all those girls attending pref each have the opportunity to receive bids if they follow the system

To be clear. They are not cutting 1000 girls.
Quota is not set until AFTER preference. Quota is determined by the number of girls who attend divided by the number of chapters.
You are guaranteed a bid if you are willing to accept a bid to any sorority you attend preference at. Even if you only have one invitation (pref is significantly less stressful if you are only invited to one house. lol. )
