grades after philanthropy

by:

Are grades still considered after this round? Will a lower GPA hurt invitations for sisterhood or are we being judged by connections and looks now? Like, do grades help/hurt at the next round?

It's all about how you connect with the members at this point.

Grades can still be a factor…if its between you and another pnm who gets an invite back and who doesn’t they could definitely look at grades to see whose resume looks strongest.

Grade cuts could still be made in the next round especially if you are a legacy or have a close friend in the house that helped you get a curtesy keep for one round.

My friend was a legacy at her mom’s NR (middle tier) house. She got cut after sister rounds.

Grades matter throughout, but if you made it this far, you are probably past a grade cut.

No one can say how any other house does membership selection. Most chapters will only do hard cuts for grades once after the 1st round. And then your personality & connections count.

But maybe one sorority's national office makes them assign points to resume' items like leadership, extra-curriculars & gpa, along with points for personality and how you fit in with the conversation. Then they add up those points and send invites to the next round for all PNMs above a certain number. So your GPA could have an affect on that ranking score.

You cant control it, so just breathe, put your best convo forward and go with it!
