Rush conversations
by: !Genuinely wondering! During my conversations with actives should i be aiming for "deeper" connections? For example, if I talked with an active and we mostly only talked about surface level hobbies, shows we like, etc, (and I felt like it was still a good, fun conversation) would another girl be invited back over me if another girl also had a good conversation but they talked more about "deeper" topics like how her values align with the chapter's and what she's looking for in a sorority and everything? Should i only worry about making the deeper connections the further into recruitment that i am?

I think surface level convos are fine for philanthropy! The convos get deeper as you move into sisterhood and even deeper at pref. I think deep convos early on are more meaningful and show the girl cares a lot about her sorority and wants you to as well, but don’t count out houses with surface level convos during philanthropy especially if it was still a good convo.

if an active is getting off track by talking about things other than their philanthropy it most likely means they really like you and you guys are vibing really well and they feel excited talking to you about anything. convos get traditionally deeper throughout recruitment
