Tell me it gets better

I had no illusions I was going to get full card and all my top choices. But going into Philanthropy, I have 6 houses. I went to 3 today and have 2 tomorrow and 1 Tuesday. I’m keeping my mind open but i am so nervous and scared after someone said sisterhood makes huge cuts. I have been so excited for school and rush and now I feel like I could cry every minute. Its easier to let it all out here on anonymous email website.
It’s hard to say trust the process when you there is a overbearing sense of dread. Hopefully I am laughing at myself next sunday as I run to my new home but let me tell you. RUSH at Alabama aint for the faint of heart. And its only day 2.

stick in there suga!! It all works out I PROMISE. I know it feels so personal now and you might not even believe me when I tell you it’s not personal but — getting cut from houses is part of the process and it’s not personal. YOU are a lovely person who has so much more to give than these short conversations. It’s the rush process that is a little flawed but hey we all do because running home is the best feeling ever and you’re going to meet your very best friends at the end of all this. You got this and I promise it does get better 💖

Some get what feels like big cuts the first round, but then may keep all those houses moving into the next round. While others who have a full card may end up with big cuts before the next round. Try not to over think it and when you get each round of invites, focus on the houses that want to get to know you better!

I had four houses left after open house in 2018. I cried my eyes out on the row because, although I really liked the houses I got back, I was terrified I would be released from recruitment altogether.
On bid day I ran home to a house that I felt wholly loved by and still do. Hang in there ❤️❤️❤️

You did nothing wrong!!! It is just the nature of the system. Girls could’ve really liked you, it just happens that they had other girls they felt were more compatible. You are going to find a house that loves you and makes you feel wanted. It’s tough but don’t take it out on yourself, good luck
