Pick the house you actually love, not one for “clout”
by: UNo one is popular in college. Pick a house that you feel like you will genuinely benefit from and feel comfortable in. I’m telling u so many ppl pick a house just to gain insta “clout” and end up hating it and dropping so quick

Pick a house where you connect with the girls. Or pick whichever house you have left by pref. Either way, you're going to find your girls because what you'll be looking for is sisterhood. I guarantee you'll find it if that's what you're looking for. If you join a house for the prestige it's generated on greekrank, you're going to be disappointed. The poster above is accurate. Popularity is something that exists only in high school. It's definitely not a college thing.

So true! Seriously, NO ONE cares what house you're in once you're in it. There are no rankings and tiers IRL. Go where you feel a connection, even if it's a "bottom" house (which is another term you will hear only on GR). If you choose a house because of status, you will be unhappy. Go with your heart and you will be happy wherever that is.

Εasier said for far out of state girls. I envy girls who don’t know anything about the sororities, ranks, tiers, old row. It stresses me to no end to get the right sorority (for me) because I am from a small town in Alabama and it seems like everyone back home is rooting for me.

Being from “outside” I agree it’s less stressful. Not getting picked by girls I’ve talked to for 10 minutes isn’t that catastrophic.
But if you are overlooked by people you considered your friends or peers, that’s much more of a gut punch. \n\n\n\n\n

You’re in college now. Don’t worry about what everyone at home thinks. This is your time to be yourself and break free from that. Don’t let other people dictate your happiness (coming from someone in-state).
