I'm starting to get nervous
by: nervousjust days away from convocation and I'm getting really nervous. What are my odds of getting totally released from recruitment? I'm in-state, over 4.0 GPA, and come from a "good" school in a larger metro. If I max out my possibilities at every round, what are the changes that I won't get a bid anywhere? What causes girls to be released? I'm scared.

You have around a 7% chance of not being a PNM to run home, and that percentage includes girls who voluntarily drop out of rush. PNM's drop out when they get tired and overwrought from getting dropped from houses they love and then make an emotional decision instead of focusing on where they are wanted, or they had mitigating circumstances like family issues and it was never going to go smoothly for them. Most dropped from all houses are because of the above commenter's reasons, and some are dropped because they are just terrible at rushing, but generally do so much better as sophomores or when they try for a COB.
