Honest fraternity ranks?

by:

Are all old rows automatically better than all new rows? What New Row fraternities are the most reputable? How do Jefferson fraternities hold up against some of the lower University ones? Transferring here for my sophomore year and have no idea who to ask as I don't know anybody.

No, Old row doesn't automatically make you better, BUT old rows dominate the upper ranks. The top new row fraternities would be Pike/Pi Kapp, Sigma Chi/Theta Chi. Most Jefferson fraternities don't compete with the exception of Delt, DX, and maybe LXA or KE.

Being old row doesn’t automatically make you top, there’s some new row houses that are better than some of the old row houses, top new row are Pike, Pi kapp, sigma chi, in my opinion these houses are better than some old row houses old row only really matters if you are in-state. New row seems to have more fun tbh

Phi delt and Snu are considered top at bama and they are oldrow; the rest of the old row fraternities are upper mid with the top of new row.

We swap with OR and NR. Top NR: Sigma Chi, PIke, Theta Chi and Pi Kapp could be compared to any Old Row house. I’m OR and couldn’t imagine only hanging out with kids I went to high school with all during college.
And as many have said…. You don’t think about this stuff on a day to day basis. That would not be normal.

Compared is a strong word. I wouldn’t use compared to describe top new row houses with old row. Old row kids are completely different from new row kids.
