What to do if rush chair isn’t responding

I been talking to a rush chair from a fraternity and we agreed to meet at the house once school started, I texted him the other day just to keep in contact and got no reply. It’s been about a day and I’m slightly worried. Do I still text him once I’m in town to have our planned meeting?

Don't come across desperate but follow up once or twice as you get closer.
