The only houses I’ve ever heard that happening at were sigma kappa and sdt. I’m in a lower new row house and rushed some TOP pnms, and the only “mute” girls I ever had were genuinely socially awkward legacies. I know last year a lot of pnms wouldn’t show up or would have their camera/mic off at sigma kappa and sdt.

Whether you want a certain house or not is irrelevant to how much the OTHER houses want you. You could get yourself dropped from that unwanted house, but then what? It's not worth being seen as rude. Focus instead on letting the houses that you do want know how you feel.

If you’re really a desired PNM this isn’t necessary bc you’ll end up in one of your desired houses anyway. So many girls come in way too overconfident and risk having few choices at the end if they do something like this.

That was kind of my point actually. Overconfident girls should definitely try this. It will make it easier for all the houses to cut them.

Wtf? Why is this even a question?? There’s NEVER a reason to let any house think you don’t want them except for during pref to your 2nd choice, and even then there’s a NICE way to let them down gently (saying things like “I just feel more at home in my other house” or “I just don’t feel like this house is the best possible fit for me personally”). And I say NICELY because 1) being rude sucks. Grow up. And 2) you could very well end up with a bid to your second choice house (as long as you don’t suicide bid and get dropped from rush altogether) It happens literally all the time, and you don’t want the girls in that house to already dislike you because you were rude to them during pref. Up until pref you have absolutely zero reason to let any house think for a second that you don’t want them. If you’re as desirable as you THINK you are, you’ll be able to drop houses you don’t want and get full cards back. If you AREN’T as desirable as you think, you risk getting dropped from literally every house by doing this. Simply be nice. It isn’t that hard

In a lower NR house— it happens all the time lmao. We’re told to talk their ear off about literally anything and everything so even if they say we were weird, at least they can’t say we were rude.
