Spill the rush secrets

Every house has their own method, but all actives have some definite input into membership selection. The actives a PNM meets during rounds or the ones they already know in the chapter are in a better position to offer an opinion on a PNM, so there is a good amount of trusting other actives' opinions during the process. If an active is liked and respected then more people are likely to go along with her view. This includes exec members. They can speak highly of a PNM or not so well. The reverse is also true: there are a few sisters in my chapter that I completely disagree with all the time and just aren't my type, so if they like a PNM and I haven't met her I'm going to automatically assume I wouldn't like her and will give my input/vote accordingly. Generally the chapter makes membership selections as a whole, and exec will only intervene in the case of a PNM that they know something about, either really positive or really negative that the chapter as a whole may not be aware of, and will make an executive decision there. Again, every house has their own method. And there is absolutely nothing you can do about any of it and you can't game the system. So don't worry about those things and focus entirely on what you have control over; your own self.
