Houses and their Sisterhoods

This may be an unpopular opinion but as a rising senior who has been around a while now, I think the whole premise of having a "sisterhood" in organizations as big as the sororities here is a bit unrealistic, misleading, and also puts a kind of ridiculous pressure on the chapters.
There are 300+ girls in every house. There's just no way everyone can be best friends and as close as "sisters."
I think the closest thing the chapters get to a "good sisterhood" is a house where girls are comfortable around and talking to anyone in the chapter if they need something. I would consider my house in this realm; I was always fine with approaching the older girls for something and never felt weird doing so, but did I feel extremely close and bonded to every single girl? No, definitely not. There are many girls in my house I've never even gotten a chance to get to know.
Idk, again I just think "sisterhood" is a HUGE word for these chapters to live up to when there are just so many girls in each house.

Your house will be known for Great Sisterhood if you put the work into it. Go to the house EVERY DAY, hang out with your pledge class, eat lunch with actives, go to every event, make the effort. Finding your “squad” is hard work but very rewarding. Make your house known for great sisterhood.

Y’all are gonna hate to hear this but a lot of the lower tier even bottom houses actually have some of the best sister hood. I dropped from an uppermid house bc i was completely miserable but my roomate from freshman year who’s still my best friend is in a “bottom” house and I basically just hang with her and her sisters and they honestly have a great sisterhood- way better than mine ever was for me. Please remember to not care about tiers or ranks during rush it could be the smartest decision you make for yourself during the process.
