Phi Delt OOR rush

I been in contact with their rush chair and know a few guys in the fraternity currently. That being said I’m OOR, not terribly far north but still not south. What are my chances looking like?

I'm gonna give it to you straight. Most of the quality houses fill their pledge classes prior to everyone returning to school. Get down and spend some time with the guys before school starts to increase your rather low chance.

Yeah that’s what I’ve heard, although I’ve also heard that if a house likes you they’ll bid you, no matter if they’re “full” or not. A couple of the guys in phi Delt invited me to hang with them when I get down there, which is why I’m confused Bc I figure if they were completely full they wouldn’t even invite me

Well have you been to any events so far? If you are out of driving distance and haven’t been to anything that might be the reason why they want you hangout with them in the fall. Sometimes fraternities not necessarily phi delt have preferences for kids that have already been to an event or two

That’s my problem - I’m definitely too far to make it out there anytime this summer, which prob explains why they want me there in the fall. But if they were full they wouldn’t have even invited me right?

If a house wants you, they will offer a bid even during the formal rush period. No house closes out their bid list until they have to submit to Greek life their whole list.

I knew phi delts from atl, ny, and so Florida. Not your typical “old row” types either. They’re the most open minded and non traditional of old row imo
