Too many letters of rec?

I know each house suggests 1-2 letters of rec. what happens if i have more than that? Is that seen as “too much,” and therefore hurt my chances, or does it help? I’m looking at 3 or 4 for some houses.

I know for my house we read all of them but it can get repetitive because they all essentially say the same thing. It won’t hurt you, but it is repetitive and unnecessary.

it’s just overkill. the only way i would recommend a PNM have more than 1-2 is if they’re crazy connected with a sorority. by crazy connected i mean like you know someone on national HQ exec and/or prominent and active alumnae, and had like a recent sister/cousin graduate from that chapter (bonus points if they were on exec). then 3 would be impressive lol. even then in that case, i’m not even sure if you’d have to bother trying that hard bc you’d for sure be on the chapter’s radar already lmao
