Fall rush for fraternities
by: ?I’m from OOR and have been in contact with a few New Row fraternities (Pi Kapp, Sigma Chi, Beta) and was wondering if they’d still have open spots by the time formal rush came around? I move in early august but I’ve heard these frats are full by then.

Depends on the fraternity. Most of Old Row will probably be full by then, and University houses that are looking to take smaller PCs might be as well. However, if you're cool, you can really get a bid at most fraternities if you reach out to them before school starts. Don't let people on GreekRank prevent you from putting yourself out there.

When you say by august - do you mean that by August 1st they’re full- or that they fill by the end of august?

You will be fine in fall rush with all houses, if you are someone a house wants they will make room for you. Yes, many houses especially the University houses will have hit their quotas of what they are wanting to pledge before fall rush but they won't turn away someone that will fit in with what they are looking for.

idk about that houses will accept their friends later but not kids they don’t know

I move in about 3 weeks before formal rush, is that still pretty late?
