Most (maybe all?) sororities have scholarships available to apply for BUT these are almost always through nationals and not up to the individual chapter to award so they’re not very easy to get and they aren’t very big either (since you’re competing with the entire country). These also aren’t available to new members, you can apply to them starting with sophomore year typically. Honestly my best advice I can give you if your parents can’t/aren’t helping you financially is get a full time job this summer. You still have plenty of time to save up a ton of money. My parents couldn’t help me with dues so I’ve always worked during the summers and been able to save up enough to cover dues for the year plus whatever tuition I have left that my presidential scholarship doesn’t cover. If you want to join a sorority that bad, there’s ways to pay for it yourself but you have to work for it

in my chapter we have both HQ scholarships and local alumni chapter scholarships (like only girls from our chapter can apply, or only girls who went to HS in certain counties with strong alumni chapters) for the local ones, my exec is always begging us to apply. from what i remember, we could start applying as a second semester member. if you have any financial issues though, please talk to your finance chair after bid day. finance chairs are not usually mean and scary and can be super nice and accommodating. Mine 100% understood bc she went through the same stuff! she helped me look for jobs and scholarships, and allowed me to pay more flexibly.
