“Old row” superiority complex

No it’s completely new row and progressive of you to think that way

Old Row just an extension of high school for a lot of people, they tend feel safer / more secure with themselves when they're coming into college already knowing more people than the girl next to them. To be honest don't worry much of it, only like four of the old row sororities are actually worth the hype anyways.

Pretty much, old row has a lot of girls that came from the same high school and like to cling to people that already know them. Tbh I don’t know why there’s any hype around it, but I promise you’ll do fine in rush. You don’t need to be a southern bell to be in a sorority here

The South prides itself on tradition and roots. Old Row often times is filled with legacies and girls from prominent southern families. You may want to understand a little bit about what being southern means before you head to the deep south and rush.

Old Row works really well for in-state girls who have families who attended Bama, have friendships from high school, clubs, camps and Community. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with Old Row. It works well for many IS girls. OOR fit in better in New Row in my opinion. You’ll find your peeps in New Row but if you were born and raised in Alabama, it makes perfect sense to be drawn to OR. It’s really that simple. It’s not a judgment call in OR or NR. Plain and simple.

Since bama is a school in the south you’re bound to find girls and guys that center their personalities around the fact that they’re from the south. There shouldn’t be a superiority complex but they like to view “old row” as better than “new row”
