APHi has to do COB and spring recruitment year after year (members always dropping like flies). They have the worst retention and grades. APhi belongs to the bottom.

What is wrong with doing COB? It makes perfect sense to replace members if they leave for whatever reason. Everybody has members to drop or graduate during the year.

i agree with you BUT, some chapters don’t have to cob. they don’t have girls drop at higher rates or have enough girls graduating to warrant COBing. obviously every house has their own dirt and reasons for girls dropping but if a house has enough girls dropping (both new members and older actives) that they have to COB every semester, i can promise you that there’s stuff going behind the scenes that girls don’t like.
i will also say that some houses attract girls who DON’T wanna be in a sorority their whole college experience. laidback girls who don’t like rules (for example, like aphi) probably aren’t going to want to stay in an organization that controls them after they’ve already made friends/have a social life after freshman/soph year. other chapters do a spectacular job at retaining their girls and esp upperclassmen tho.

Hahahaha had a look at grade reports. APhi has to give out much more bids each formal recruitment ~ 150-170 than every other chapter does. Nearly every spring again ~ 20-30 bids. If they could keep NM and actives why do they have to invite so many new ones every term?

i feel like most PNMs would prefer to be in aphi/gphi/dz over dg and aopi who are genuine but not as ~party~

I don‘t agree. Your 4th line struggles with grades, reps and retention. Year after year. While a lot of freshmen might prefer the party houses when they go through recruitment a lot of them decide to drop as sophs or juniors. AOII and DG on the hand can keep a good percentage of their members.

no shot. give it up AOPI and DG. i said it once and i’ll say it again: most pnms prefer APHI/GPHI/DZ over aopi/dg sorry! Greek life is for socializing and they’re irrelevant. nice girls but not social or hot. at least gphi and dz are more outgoing

You're assuming every single PNM wants the same thing. But the reality is there are absolutely Pnms who would fit in/be happier at aopi/dg than gphi/dz. Those 4 houses are truly the same level, it's just they attract different types of girls. There's nothing wrong with that, it doesn't make each group better than the other, just depends what you're looking for
I absolutely 100% guarantee there are girls in aopi/dg who would not switch to gphi/dz if given the option, because they're happier where they are.

I agree, how come the OR houses who have more genuine girls, good retention, and good grades get praised more than the OR houses who just care about partying? But within NR, the houses that care more about partying and social climbing get more praise than the genuine houses, with good grades and retention?
