It’s pretty much when a sorority can still give out bids after rush week without doing or doing COB (if they don’t meet quota)

Like for an example if you want tri delta but didn’t get asked back to them or u dropped them they can give u a snap bid if they didn’t meet quota

Snap bidding is an option available to chapters that did not fill Quota spaces in bid matching. Snap Bidding is done BEFORE bids are distributed. Snap Bidding is not intended to fill spaces in chapter Total. Snap Bidding is limited to any woman who participated in the designated membership recruitment.

If none of the woman’s preferences has matched a fraternity’s bid list, a representative from the Panhellenic Membership Committee, likely the Panhellenic Advisor, will contact her and ask if she will accept a bid from a fraternity not previously listed among her choices, provided the fraternity has her name on its bid list.

Snap Bidding is under the direction of the Panhellenic Membership Recruitment Committee (alumnae and Panhellenic Advisors), working with the chapters that have Quota vacancies. Snap Bidding shall begin immediately after bid matching and end with the distribution of bids, at which time COB will begin.
