i don’t understand the correlation. A lot of seniors drop because of financial reasons, they are adults about to enter the workforce and prioritize different things through college, in the beginning it might’ve been all the fun parties and stuff but as you get older and start getting into jobs and internships you may not have the time to put into the sorority to justify its cost.

people also graduate early, and the comment above this one is completely right too- not sure the correlation. Also if you’re enter with the idea that you might eventually drop then don’t bother rushing in the first place

Tons of my friends dropped after our freshmen year. It was still worth it for them because we all stayed friends, they just didn’t want to deal with the commitment and money

After your sophomore year the appeal of being in a sorority wears off. Sorority events can get in the way of studying for grad school in junior and senior. Your friend group gets tighter and more centralized around your major. Being 21 means you don’t need frats anymore to drink which REALLY lowers the appeal of greek life.
Rush is tiring and annoying when you’re a junior/senior and want to chill at you apartment instead. The “rankings” of chapters will seem dumb and petty by the time you’re a rising senior.

With that being said, if you want alumnae connections across the world that would be motivation to not drop. Once you graduate, you’re now in a group of women who will drop everything they’re doing to help you because they see you as a sister to their organization.

You have to decide if you think the BS you experience from 18-22 is worth the life long benefits (so long as you pay alumnae dues which are around $100 per year).

Old Row houses have a lot more seniors than New Row. Old Row girls tend to be from the South and sororities and alumna stays are more important to them.
