should you really bring a handheld fan during rush? i’ve heard you really need it but i wanna buy it now bc i’ve also heard the sell out fast. just don’t wanna waste money.

It’s not called Hell’s Porch for nothing! Girls literally pass out every year ( well, not this past year because of virtual recruiting). Yes, you will want a handheld power fan. Fill up your water bottle with ice. It will melt during the day and you can chill your neck and wrists to cool off with it. Buy blotting paper for sweat. All nighter setting spray will be your best makeup friend in the south. Body glide your feet for blister prevention. Bring flip flops to wear between parties and a pool towel to sit on in your group tent.

I’d recommend brining liquid iv for your water bottle if possible, it’s SO important to stay hydrated

Literally do everything you can to stay cool.

People our age (18) can easily die from heat stroke and it creeps up on you so fast.

Drink and stay hydrated and stay cool!
