how much of a pull does being a legacy get you? i’m a legacy to two different houses

depends on what houses. but a lot of sororities nationally have dropped legacy policy as in legacies won’t get special treatment just because they’re legacies and will have the same chances as everyone else. though that being said some sororities may still honor it and being a legacy would give you something to talk about so I guess it helps but don’t depend on legacy status alone to get you through rush

Many houses, including my own, have dropped our legacy policies. I don’t know what house you’re a legacy to, but many organizations posted about dropping the legacy policy on social media so you might want to start either on their websites, FB, or instas.

Speaking only for my own org, we no longer have an obligation to invite legacies to the second round. That said, it’s certainly a good conversation starter but definitely do not rely on it.

While legacy policies have been dropped officially it still can make a difference. No one is going to care if your mom was a Pi Phi out in California but if your mom was an AGD president here at Alabama then youd be good to go. Only really applies to old row.
