Discrimination based on age?

I don’t want to give away too much but I’ve taken 2 gap years and I’m planning studying at bama in the fall. Will I have a limited number of houses that may be interested in me since I’m slightly older?

i wouldn’t worry about it at all! houses like taking lots of freshmen because they’re more likely to stay all 4 years as opposed to just 1-3. you’re still going to be a freshman and your gap year(s) honestly make you sound more interesting

if anything, I think it'll benefit you because your story sounds really interesting and since you've taken some time to find out what you want, it shows that you genuinely want to be here. I know girls who have rushed between 18-22 and you said you'll only be 19 so its no biggie at all.

Honestly that might give you a head start because the actives that you'll meet will be around your age so you could have more to talk about and you may even know some! My sisters friend in pc '14 was 21 almost 22 when she rushed and no one cared because she had a super fun personality and blended in so well.
