Examples of Alabama fraternity rush events?

hey everyone, I’m gonna be a freshman next year and wanted to get some more details on Alabama summer rush events. What are some examples of stuff the fraternities will do? Do you need connections to get invited to the events, or do I just need to contact the rush chair? im just trying to see what to expect when the time comes

Each Fraternity handles rush differently so there is no set method to follow.

Definitely reach out to the rush chairs of the houses you are interested in, so you can get on their list for events.
Some nationals also have interest forms you can fill out on their websites.

Yes, some houses are more connections based and tend to recruit from certain geographic locations but they also look at others.

Sign up for ifc, look up houses preferably houses on University versus Jefferson, and then reach out to rush chairs and plan your visits based on when houses you like are having events. Also you normally just get invited to partys or rush partys.

Turn in your IFC form ASAP (just google Alabama IFC rush form) and all of the rush chairs will have your info and start to text you in the Spring. Reach out on the chapter’s website and instagram pages as well if there’s a house you’re particularly interested in.

I see that registration on the IFC page is closed. When does it usually open? Also, when would be the best time to email rush chairs...I assume in Jan? Thx
