phi mu or zeta?

They're definitely the frats top 2 houses - most likely because of looks and parties.
Both party houses, but Zeta more so.
Phi Mu is old row so there's a lot of in state girls and legacies. Known for having money. Sisterhood is decent and not many girls drop. Typical posh southern sorority. Golden goose and Koch skirt vibe girls. Probably above Zeta in academics.
Zeta has a good mix of girls from ALL regions, although they all kinda have the stereotypical blonde, orange tan sorority girl vibe. From what I've heard their sisterhood is rocky. They're really fun and friendly, I've never come across a Zeta I didn't like.
Overall both really great houses and you can't go wrong with either one. If you still have both on your list the best way to pick is just by speaking to the actives, which ever one feels more like home is the way to go! Good luck.

Both are great. ZTA maybe more relaxed and genuine and PM a little more uptight, maybe more stress. Many similarities though. ZTA prettier and PM more diverse.

They cross rush meaning they have a similar "target market".

Phi Mu is a top house... Because they're an attractive house, they're popular during rush for both instate and OOS girls, they're extremely involved in the Greek community and around campus, they have pretty good grades, seem as if they come from good families and overall they're very competitive meaning they work hard for what they have.

In terms of Zeta, old row houses love to slam them, because they are new row but get asked to a lot of things by old row guys. They have a real mix in terms of grades, ranging from Presidential Scholars to girls barely hanging on. So grades do not seem to be a big deal to them. Most ZTAs I know are pretty fun, proud of their house and don't take crap from boys or girls in other sororities. Personally, I think they are good all around except they are a little too focused on social media and could be better sisters in supporting each other in activities.

I know girls who have picked Zeta over Phi Mu and girls who have picked Phi Mu over Zeta. Like the other comment above said, the best way to find the house for you is to just be yourself and get to know the actives. Be open to whatever comes your way. Where you end up is where you're meant to be! :)

I wouldn't fit into PM- I'm a girly girl! I picture them more athletic. And I don't like the Phi Moo nickname. I know that's dumb but there it is. I like their colors though.

Both houses are top houses here in my opinion. I do think Zeta took a better PC last year, but Phi Mu focuses more on grades than Zeta does. Both are highly desired by pnms during rush, and I think this year can prove that as well.

Phi Mu again focuses more on grades/in state pnms/money. Has always been a popular house here at Alabama. Upholds a good reputation and has better grades than Zeta, but they are more strict regarding rules. In my personal experience they are a little more stuck up than Zeta.

Zeta by far has the most attractive girls on campus and they get invited to a lot of frat functions whether it’s particular swaps or date parties. They do get some hate from old row houses, but they compete with SOME old row houses for pnms so it makes sense. Definitely less strict regarding rules and member expectations, which may be harmful in certain situations.

Like the above poster mentioned, I know girls who chose Zeta over Phi Mu and who chose Phi Mu over Zeta. Trust your gut and evaluate the conversations you are having!!!
