Difference between KD and KKG?

Just because your mom and grandma told you Kappa and KD are top houses does not make it true. Kappa is decent - top 5 house. But KD? Bottom of Old Row. Girls on their lawn are crying on bid day and they’re not tears of happiness.

Kappa is the stronger of the two. KD is top to certain hometowns but not really to anyone else outside of mountain brook and mobile. Kappa gets top PNMs from all over and most girls will want kappa over KD.

The other thread about these two said it best. KDs are the bottom dwellers of Old Row.

I would take KKG any day over KD. But I would take AXO, DDD, XO and AGD over KKG. Just my opinion.

Both are pretty similar and a good number of girls who are inclined to like KKG will also like KD and vice versa. KD gets a much stronger reputation for only rushing girls from certain areas/Alabama but kappa has a problem with this too and the majority of their exec is girls from mountain brook/Mobile/Montgomery/Louisiana. In both houses you have a big group of girls who have known they were pledging their for years and tend to be considered the “in” crowd & hold leadership positions.

Kappa is considered more friendly to far OOS pnms and more laid back. Neither is known for grades or involvement but kd is usually slightly higher in the grade ranks. Both houses are more party oriented. KD def has a snobby reputation on campus but I wouldn’t say they’re as disliked as it appears on this website.

Kkg is top tier and KD is not

People are being so snarky on here but the truth is Kappa is better than KD for many reasons and it will be a better experience overall. KD is def middle tier though and not bottom tier like they are sometimes listed.

I personally would choose KD over Kappa. I think it just depends on where your from and who you fit in better with. Both are definitely the top for in state, out of state they really don’t rush that hard unless you have someone inside fighting for you.

I have to say that these two houses are the most 13th grade and are extremely cliquish. KKG is very Mobile, if that is your vibe… ok. New Orleans girls also go KKG. These aren’t bad girls, not mean girls, but it is a certain situation you should be aware of. The other OR houses are better all around choices (AXO, XO, DDD- AGD is good but not as strong)
