how mean is alpha phi
by: heyHi, I’m an APhi legacy from a different school and I am headed to Bama in the fall. From what I have heard, the girls in APhi aren’t very nice and i’m never i won’t get a bid from anywhere else.

I’m in another sorority but had a roommate in APhi who never felt like she was able to be accepted or find friends in the sorority the entirety of the year. She always spent hours getting ready to try to ‘compete’ with the other girls even in simple settings, it was a very odd attitude she had when going to the house or events. Another friend of mine also had an APhi roommate who had a very similar experience.

ofc aphi is going to try their hardest not to get another incident like that.. it was in 2018 and people are still talking about it lol it's literally what their house is known for so i doubt their will be another happening like that any time soon

No it happened again this year lol. They tried to sweep it under the rug so not a lot of people know about this one, but it definitely happened again

Another girl said the n word in fall 2019. Wasn’t initiated yet so APhi dropped her and swept it under the rug. Only aphis/people who know the girl/live w aphis know about it.

My roommate/ best friend is an Alpha Phi. I love her to death, but besides one of her APhi friends I HATED the rest of her “friends” from her house. They always acted like they were better than me and my non-APhi friends (despite being in an equal/ better house than they were, not that that matters). They were condescending, rude, and boring to hang out with
Alpha Phi is genuinely the only house on campus I would never want to join. There are some awesome girls in there, but the horrible vapid girls are the vast majority

Literally run for the hills unless you’re a superficial girl who doesn’t care about anything besides what fraternity the guy she’s talking to is in. Obviously there are cool/nice/normal girls in the house, but they are in the minority. It’s just a bunch of mean girls who think being hot is all there is to life. If everyone could look past the fact that they’re good looking, it would be obvious that they’re the worst house on campus

I’m not excusing it at all, it’s wrong to use it in any context, but there is definitely a difference between saying it in lyrics and using it the way these girls used it. Still wrong, 100%, but these girls were deliberately trying to be disrespectful with the way they used it. Also Hannah B isn’t in the sorority anymore so idk what you expect them to do about that...

i wouldn’t say it’s much of an issue since she is graduated, ALTHOUGH i know for a fact many girls in the sorority she was in, use the fact she was in it to “brag” and talk the house up to others. so maybe since the fact they bring up to others how hannah brown was in the house, could be an issue?
