I don’t think AGD has lost traction at all. They’ve had 2-3 really strong PCs. Had a really strong showing in sga and in grades. I think KD has slipped, but they will be back up soon.

Alpha Grandma is steadily going down hill. The only thing keeping it where it is, is the old row clout they cling too. If they weren't Old Row, they'd be on the same level as AOPI

Every school with a big sorority presence has what are considered top houses and top tier. These houses are also the most selective. At UT it's The Big Six and at UA it's Old Row.

1. There are plenty of new row houses that cut girls that ended up in old row houses.

You sound like you were truly wounded by rush and still extremely resentful of houses that didn't invite you back. If you actually ended up in any house, which I doubt, or were happy, you wouldn't be so obsessed with houses you feel rejected from. Reading GR probably isn't a good thing for you moving forward.

Except the Zeta at Auburn is not even Miss Alabama, she is Miss Alabama USA. Tiara Pennington (Phi Mu at Bama) is the current Miss Alabama.

Even pageants are selective and winners can do a lot more than look hot. If they select for looks and aren't even winning big pageants, what do Zetas at Alabama win?

Alpha Chi, Phi Mu, and Alpha Gam select for lots of qualities like involvement, honors, grades, leadership, and classy presentation (which is different from hot looks-wise). That is why they are on the OP's list of most selective, because they are.

There are lots of pretty PNMs who amazingly accomplished, and those qualities translate into campus honors and titles while they are in school.

Zeta's selectivity for mostly the hotness factor doesn't seem to translate into much (honors or titles) after rush except approval by frat guys.

They didn't have a small pledge class, you can check the fall grade report. They are not even eligible for COB, because they maintain chapter membership, and you can check the long list of houses that are eligible for COB on the PH site. No OR houses on that list.

Having to pledge a huge class is not a good thing. It's a sign that the house may struggle to rush and keep members.

One or two snaps at most. Happens to even the best houses every once and a while. Every OR house is very selective and can afford to be. But sometimes after pref night, things don’t go exactly as planned and the bid list (which is smaller than most NR houses because of historic returns and RFP) comes up with couple spots empty. No biggie and it all works out. And gives a fantastic opportunity for a few PNMs to get an unexpected happy ended.
