by: agdIs agd a top tier house?? I’ve heard a lot of different things about them. I know they are not top at a lot of other schools.

AGD is a top house at UA. Very southern, Christian forward house. No denying what they are- any girl that gets this house on their card for the next round should feel positive.
AGD does not have a strong national presence. But, this is UA and some things are topsy turvy here. KAT and DG both have very strong presences nationally but are not as strong at UA ( they are fine houses).

At all the schools in Alabama (Auburn, UAB, Troy) Alpha Gam is a top house. I think that’s why they have a lot of Alabama girls bc it has good rep across Alabama, so Alabama girls like alpha gam. I’m from Memphis and alpha gam is a top house at u of Memphis, so idk if they are nationally bad, but my friends that go to Syracuse and FSU day that alpha gam sucks there, so they were surprised to hear they beat my house in grades. A lot of my friends and cousins are in alpha gam and they love it, so if the girls in it love it, who cares?!

Depends what you want. If you're Christian and care about religion and good grades, then yes, AGD is a great house. But if you want to party and be in a sorority that guys love, then it isn't. (Not saying frats dislike AGD bc they don't, but they aren't as well loved as some other sororities). All depends what you want out of Greek life.

Agree, I know people in AGD and they love it but it’s definitely not for everyone. If you are big into your studies and not that big of a party girl this is the house for you. If you want more of a social and party life this house isn’t really for you!!

That house def has some party girls though... I don’t think they are as pure as they like to make themselves seem.

There's outliers in every sorority, of course. I'm simply saying their general group of girls are more reserved, studious, and religious compared to other groups on campus.

Alpha Gam is top-tier at Bama and always has been. Definitely not for every PNM because GPA and service are priorities. If those values don't align with yours, you wouldn't be happy there.
They also have a really tight sisterhood and great alumn network of smart, successful women across the country. Actives are more on the conservative side, but it's Bama so what do you expect? Definitely not as "religious" as haters keep saying. Also not obsessed with appearance, but the southern vibe of looking nice and dressing for the occasion is strong.
Alpha Gam is a great option for those PNMs lucky enough to have the house at pref.

they're mid-tier at best if anything they're actually on their own tier because they attract a completely different crowd of outliars
