getting your last choice

by:

I know some of yall are upset now, thinking you are going to get a bid to a house you don't want. I urge you to read the comments in some of the posts below about how to handle that. I know you feel disappointment that recruitment didn't go the way you had expected and that your family and friends are going to judge you for joining a lower tier house. The ones who love you won't. If you're happy, they're going to be happy. Others say try it out for a while and see if you like it. I say that's the TOTALLY WRONG attitude. Decide now that you're going to like whatever house you get. (OK, I know that deep down inside it's going to be hard to be happy about it. You may have to pretend a bit for a while.) Decide that you will find lifelong friends there. That you will love going to the football games and swaps and parties, and that you will especially love the alumna network after you graduate. There's everything to gain and NOTHING to lose by joining any house at Bama. They're all good. Regardless of all the long lists in different orders of what people anonymously rank houses on here. In real life, you can't tell the girls apart if they're not wearing letters.

Give your new house your complete heart starting today. Make them love you and love them. If it doesn't feel right the first day, that's all right. It will. I promise.
