I’m so worried about this because I know I’m not nearly as beautiful as the girls I’ve seen in houses here! I don’t know anybody here, but I have recs, and I have excellent grades. Am I likely to have a full card each day? Would looks be so important to get me cut even if I have excellent grades? ... I’m sorry if this is annoying or out of place, I’m just really concerned about getting cut by most of the houses...

Appearance is not really the same thing as being beautiful. You need to look put together and wear clothes and hair and makeup that flatter you and your personal style and be confident. If you show confidence in yourself and interest in who you're talking to and can carry a conversation it will count for a lot. Cute will get the job done too.

^This. Full cards are rare. Remember, focus on the houses that want you and invite you back, and look for the best fit among them. No matter how full your card is earlier in the week, the most anyone will have on Pref is two, and on bid day, just one! All you need is one house, and at Bama all houses are fantastic! Practice your conversation skills and be your best friendly self, you will be ok.

Full cards are not easy and lots of girls don’t have them.
To get a full card, you really need to have allot going on, not just grades, but conversations skills, ability to relate to many types of girls (dont be annoying), attractive and put together and even come from a “good” zip code. And a bit of luck even - getting matched with the right girls, it is possible to get overlooked.
This is particularly true of you are OOS/R or have few connections here.
But you really can’t - and don’t want to fake - your way trough this. Relax and be yourself. Then you will find a good fit and that’s what really matters, not ranks and perceptions on GR!

So if I look as put together as I can, and make myself look as nice as I can, with my grades and recommendations, am I likely to have a full card? That is what I’m most worried about! I know it only takes one house, but I’d certainly love to have options.
