They sponsor things on campus but don't follow the rules of a typical student org, so I assume it's just some typical Machine bull. Rumor had it that OoA was a financial front for the actual Machine tho, given the pressure on them to start operating with slight transparency.

Every 10 years or so the Machine likes to play games with the campus and out itself with a t-shirt to thumb their noses at all the people so bent out of shape about them.

Machine Supporters go through here and report posts that speak some inconvenient truths about their relation to UA. Turns out publicly telling potential students that their opportunity will be limited without joining a fraternity or kissing the right rear is harmful to the University's reputation.
Jason's is a Machine front to award members, supporters, and a few token non-members. It was established by their founder within a few years. UA recognizing the legitimacy of the Jason's is idiocy.
The 31 is not fully Machine controlled but does have a few token seats.
the Other Club is not Machine controlled.
Argentum will keep a few Machine members in their ranks but never many due to issues of control or leaks.
ODK, Blue Key, Mortar Board, Order of Omega, IFC, Panhel are Machine controlled. You will be less likely to get into these organizations if you aren't in direct association with a Machine House or individual.

Based on the past few years i would say 31 is not machine controlled at all. Honestly based on the people that they’ve tapped I would say it’s actually the opposite? Which seats did they get this year

So is Argentum like an anti-Machine, that is, a secret society mainly for independents? The only name I've seen associated with it online is someone who was in Mallet.

If you are on IFC or Panahellic, most of the members on the executive committee are all machine members. The current and past IFC presidents and multiple of its members are all in the machine as welll as the Panhellenic President and a few of Panhellenic executive members are all sole members of the machine.

Panhellenic exec is Machine because the only non-Machine sororities are Theta and SDT. No big surprise there.

@duh think they were talking about how the panhel members are actual reps, not just members of machine houses.
Sigma chi is def part of the machine, ato is not. It’s all of old row plus some others.

I could be wrong but I’ve always thought it’s basically an “honor society” for machine reps and maybe some of their friends. At least that’s who’s in it from my house. There’s probably some other purpose along with it.
