Yes. If you really like the dress- find a seamstress and have it hemmed. Have you seen Greek Chic? How many maxi's are showcased there? That should be your first clue.

I don't think they are a no because they are not in fashion (clearly they are). It's just too hot to be wearing a maxi dress and they don't want girls passing out left and right.

Well it really isn't really a matter of in fashion or not, it is what is acceptable during rush. How crappy would it be for this PMN to get cut for her attire, and we all know it happens. :)

I was just trying to explain the reasoning as to why they are on the "no list", by saying it was more of a practical matter, than a fashion matter.

It's too damn hot to wear a maxi dress. OTOH, you can go off in a corner and pee without anybody knowing you're peeing.
