unbiased ranks 2019

by: Js

As unbiased as it gets...

Phi Mu, AXO, KD, Kappa, DDD

XO, AGD, Zeta

Pi Phi, ADPi, DG

Alpha Phi, AOPI, GPHI, DZ, Theta

SK

(Chi O could easily bump up to first row but they are becoming more and more irrelevant- Pi Phi is definitely better than ADPi and DG but not enough to shift them in tiers- SK can move up a row when they participate in formal recruitment)

If it was pi phi they’d put themselves on the same level as Zeta. They’re definitely better than DG and a step better than ADPi.

The only top is AXO and Phi Mu the rest get the most random pnms because of in state and legacy.
Not sure what Pi Phi is on here non stop but there was a time when pi Phi and Zeta were very similar but those days are long gone. AGD is very popular with certain in state girls and maybe OOS that are influenced by tent talk but they are called Alpha Grandma on campus for a reason. The whole RFM and changing rush to make other houses have better retention rates messed up the whole OR thing. Sadly for the ladies that need their sorority name to feel important the University of Alabama ruined everything when they decided to start courting the OOS that had high grades from an actual high school along with ACT scores that rivaled the IVY league. In ten years it may be hard to get into this school just like The University of Wisconsin 20 years ago that was the school that all the Midwest kids went too when they were denied everywhere else. Now the school is considered elite. It looks like Alabama is headed that way so let’s forget the stupid Greek life tiers and work together to make this school elite.

Agree the Greek life here is much better for all involved in that all the houses are beautiful, in the same location and filled with outstanding ladies. There are only two or three houses that pnms seem to not want back on their cards but in the end those girls end up in those houses and are very happy. The unhappiest pledges are the ones who really care about name and status and didn’t get what they felt was the best house. They are all great

Considering Phi Mu has had two off PCs in three years I would say they aren’t even top of top. (Yes 17 was great but 16 and 18 were eh). Alpha Chi can’t take another year of a very average pc. Honestly I don’t think any one or two houses is top of top, the top 5 are almost interchangeable depending on the year.
Phi Mu, Alpha Chi, Kappa, Tri Delt, Kappa Delta

Chi O is strong in most areas but needs to step up recruiting big time OOS.
Alpha Gam we all know is bottom of OR due to years of no change in how they recruit. (Again, another strong house)

When PM has an "off" recruitment it is still top four, at least. Just saying. So last three years they went

2016: top 4
2017: first
2018: top 4

NOBODY else is that consistent, except maybe AXO which always seems to be top three but never very top.

There are two tops and two or three bottoms now and the rest are just fine. It’s hard to really know who is in what house now except for a few obvious ones. Ten years ago was completely different. Other schools have sorority houses that are much nicer than others or in a much better location. Not here...all the houses are basically in the same location and are beyond stunning. For some girls from Alabama they have been raised that only certain sororities are going to make their life perfect. Now that the school is over 75% out of state it is very different. There are much smarter students than before and although it is aggravating to the old Alabama tier queens it’s just not like the old times anymore. You have only the University to blame they literally gave free rides to the smart out of state students. Add the football team, great weather and beautiful campus and this is what happens.

...and that is a bad thing? It is great that the University of Alabama is aggressively recruiting bright, out-of-state students. It brings a variety of different students to the campus and changes up the old guard. Thank goodness! RTR!

Y'all are funny.
Tiers at Alabama were set in stone in 1966. They haven't changed and will never, ever change.

The top of OR today is ranked on merit and openness to OOS/OOR membership instead of Southernness, perceived wealth, and "breeding." Meanwhile, there's lots of fluidity in NR.

You're old - know how I can tell? You ranked the lower houses really wrong which means you haven't kept up with what's going on as they've gotten their new houses etc. So stop offering your advice since it's all wrong

GPhi isn't bottom - that's the one that stands out to me. I think they've really moved up since they got their new house and (I hate to say this but it's true ) since A Phi had it's difficulties last year
