question

by: PNM

I am an OOS PNM. I know I won't have a chance with AXO , KD, KKG... I am not worried about fraternity pairings or looks. I really want a low drama, great sisterhood house. Don't care old or new row

I am OOS too....and when I say out of state...I mean not southern...at all. But i would not say that you do not have a chance!! Each of those sororities offered girls from my state bids. Just go through rush and see what house suits you best!! Honestly. Do not look on here if you're looking for a low-drama house...this site is full of drama so don't listen to any of it.

Don't pay attention to what people tell you about those sororities. They do take out of state girls. I agree that this is not the best site for information. It's too bad we don't have. More positive place for PNMs to ask legitimate questions and get helpful answers.

about 60 percent of last years group of PNMs that received bids at the end of recruitment were OOS girls. So the perception that many sororities don't take OOS girls is a little dated. Don't limit yourself because of dated stereotypes!

Me too! I'm from OOS and I didn't even try to get recs for any top tier sororities. I have a great résumé but I focused on new row recs bc I knew old row wouldn't take me

Somebody has really misled some people who are OOS. Bama and several newspapers publish the pledge classes every year. All you have to do is Google the Alabama 2012 Pledge Classes and you'll see for yourself that every sorority took OOS girls. To the person who posted comment 5: I'd go back and get those recs. They're still being accepted even though it was advised they be in by the 15th.
