Is it common for sorority girls to pay for their dues using loans?

It’s definitely done. One of my good friends has to. Her parents make more than enough $ to pay, they just see sororities as unnecessary so she has to use loans to pay herself. It’s not the end of the world so if you value Greek life that much (I think it’s been invaluable to my college experience), it’s an option!

Taking a loan for sorority dues is ridiculous! If you can’t afford it don’t join. Do you really want to paying student loans with interest for sorority dues?

If you don’t have any other loans, I could see why people do it. Greek life is a big deal here, and it’s something some girls have wanted for a long time..

Why would you not take a loan, if it lets you enjoy the full college experience. Compared to the price of a house, student loans are peanuts and interest rates are low.

If you do, never breathe a word of it. It’s a stupid idea you will regret. But some do it.
