this is not intended to fan a bunch of flames!

I would like honest opinions as I believe the answer to this question would shed light for PNM's.

If you were not a member of an Old Row Fraternity, which New Row House(s) could you see yourself being a member of?

I don't want to hear there is only one way to go, Old Row vs. New Row. It is a simple question, so I would like your simple and direct answer.

Much appreciated in advance!

DKE is gold standard. but I like EN best because I like the guys I know over there, they are not as loud or as affected as KA, and they have been running the system since our Grandpa's were at UA.

Thank you for your honest opinion. This kind of perspective should aide PNM's to sort through the Old Row vs. New Row debate. I would like think there are quality choices for both categories. Frankly as an outsider, I kind of find it odd there is still a tendency to differentiate the two categories, however like I said I am an outsider trying to figure things out. Thanks again!

Personally, I would choose DX. New house, big parties, quality guys and they have the brightest future of any new row in my opinion, but that's just me

I would say SX or OX. We actually have super swaps etc with those two

go pike, theta chi or sigma chi or pi kapp

Theta Chi would definitely be number one, then sigma chi. We interact with those two a good bit. I would never be a Delta chi like someone else(probably them) posted. I dont get the stereotype that pike and delta chi are a bunch of hardasses and theta chis are pretty boys... there are each type of guy in every single fraternity

but there's always some truth in stereotypes.

Winning all the boxing matches and having DX new boys kick the crap out of all comers may have a bit to do with the stereotype as well.

it'd be OX, Pi Kapp, and EX all before DX or Pike.

OX or SX easily. I can tell you that not many people respect PIKE and that NO ONE would ever in their right mind say DX. Pi Kapp is ok, pretty irrelevant

of those 5 is irrelevant. I might argue Pi Kapp and DX over SX.

I keep hearing OX, SX,Pike and the other two. I am from OOS and don't know if I will have an opportunity to rush until just before the fall semester starts. Will these houses have slots available? Where does the lack of respect for Pike come from and why not DX or Pi Kapp?

Honestly all 5 of those houses are quite solid. Probably a personal bias of the individual poster.
