It's a free county, but I'm not okay with people thinking AKL or Sigma Pi is regarded more highly than my salt-of-the-earth 100+ years of tradition, elite UA Fraternity.

Most incoming freshmen are bright enough to tell the rankings are crap even if they don't know a lot about the school's Greek system. Anyone with half a brain can see that the discussion is more reliable.

Same as reading the paper on Sunday and seeing that 'Bama "only" won 17-10.
You and I know that opponent scored fluke TD late and we took a knee to run out the clock, but the lazy AP voter who didn't bother watching believes that the score reflects reality and hoses us in the voting

Speaking from how I saw it when coming in. I could tell the ranking part was crap. Maybe I'm less gullible than some people, dunno, but anecdotally I can say I found discussion more trustworthy.

gullible, and even so, it still has to bug you when dirtbags scheme & connive.

P.S. Like your posts, so don't want to call you out, but don't you think a little of your repose is because your house is ranked about where it should be right now?

Actually hadn't even looked, I never bother to read them anymore. Even if it is ranked right at the moment it'll be messed up again with 24 hours, probably by some self-ranker who'll accuse my house of self-ranking for being around the right place. I do agree that the scheming and plotting annoys me, but it just becomes futile. Every time things are in their place Greek rank deletes ratings, and it becomes a melee of everyone accusing each other because they don't understand GR is messing with it. Then every so often a house like ATO (legendary run of fixing) or currently Theta Chi will opportunistically take advantage of it.

But I regard it like my Dad regarded sweeping the porch --- the dirt comes back, but you do it anyway. And, as you figured out, its the duty of a herder to endeavor to provide truth and accuracy, even when futile.

But I am not as mature as I should be, so will submit a "bad dog" rating on OX when I look at the site until they apologize, or until someone else replaces them as lowlife rats
