dirty rushing

There is a girl in my hometown that is going to UA in the fall, she keeps bragging about being dirty rushed and how everyone including this particular house wants her. I feel this is wrong.

This girl is prob insecure about herself and is lying to you. Many houses at the University of Alabama will not dirty rush just because they don't want to risk it because IT IS AGAINST RECRUITMENT RULES. Plus in the history of ever at UA there has NEVER been one girl that "all the houses" want.

There's plenty of dirty rushing at UA. If you're not aware of that, then you aren't very connected.

She is very pretty, and there is a girl a year older than she is who is supposedly the one dirty rushing her. I don't know who the others are, but she is not a nice person and I can't see her adding anything to any house except her looks.

It's not for you to decide if she will be adding anything to any house. She will go through rush, as will you, and you'll both end up where you belong. If you arent alike or don't get along then you prob won't be in the same house. Focus on you, not her. And TRUST THE PROCESS! I promise you that you will find your letters and you'll love your house.

I'm not even going to UA - I just think that it is wrong for this girl to dirty rush and then have her brag about it.

I think they all sensed that, and resent you for it. Thanks for the information, but there is nothing else they can do about it unless a name is given. I don't think this is the medium for that either.

I wonder why y'all are so resentful. I think whoever it is may just be saying what others are scared to...or maybe there is so much "dirty rushing" going on that y'all just want to ignore this.

Alabama Greek system is known for its honesty and integrity. doubt she is really dirty rushed that just doesn't happen there.

What's wrong with dirty rushing? It gives the sorority the advantage and puts the PNM at a disadvantage. The PNM is afraid to rebuff the dirty rusher, for fear that they will "black ball" her, not just with that sorority, but with all of Panhellenic. If she trusts the sorority member, she may suicide for that sorority and end up without a bid.
