If the only time ill be able to meet with certain fraternities is when I get to campus on aug 18th, will it be impossible for me to get a bid? I want to try to rush OX PIKE or ZBT

Yeay, you're pretty much screwed on the big name groups. But there is plenty of friendship to be found among the smaller, less well known groups.
Here's a clue - look for friends, not just connections.
