Top swaps? Hardly. They don’t all show up, and those that do stay an hour and go home. Every other house hits up the swap and then the after party or bars.

And grades... they’re like .02 over Alpha Gam and Chi O, but those two houses are a lot more social.

This is accurate but kkg is not as strong in state - they are bottom tier at Auburn for the top three ddd kd kkg and xo due to they are still recovering from the ninja episode

The only top pnms kappa gets in Alabama are from mobile, mountain brook, and Montgomery. Girls from smaller areas in state are much more likely to go elsewhere- chi o, kd, some ddd, axo, and some agd if religious

I will say it's crazy how many mobile girls are in Kappa. You would think that more of them would want to branch about a bit. I know a few in KD and DDD, but like half the Kappa chapter is from Mobile.

Give PM and AXO creds for being the first two houses to truly embrace "OOR." It paid off as the OOS population at Bama has soared in the last decade and gave them a jump in the ratings to put them on the same level as the traditional top 4: DDD, KKG, KD and XO. However, DDD and KKG have now fully embraced the fact that, to stay on top, they have to move beyond their traditional in state and big city southern Top PNMs. KD and XO are now catching on, as well. And with AXO and PM definitely each having a specific "type," they do not have quite as strong an overall appeal as the traditional top 4.

These have been the top 4 houses since the 1960s (per my mother and grandmother). You don’t have to like it, but you do have to give them kudos for being that strong for that long.

Definitely four houses among the top. I agree there are tiers, but not more than three. Those houses are on the top along with a few more. PNMs will see the difference soon enough and the process will run its course and the right fits will connect in the end.
