Why? AXO’s GPA is within .02 of the next two houses behind them. They don’t have great social lives and they’re not a hot girl house. They’re frumpy and boring.
Phi Mu is about as in your face tacky and fake as they come. They’re not at the top in grades or involvement. Divided house and not a friendly sisterhood.

AXO and PM seem to do a great job of finding top PNMs (especially their types: AXO grades and PM looks) during the actual week of formal recruitment that are not as well known beforehand. A lot of these last minute stars come from cities and states that aren't as well represented at Bama. That's where these two houses get a lot of their strength.

This is very very true for those two houses. They save room for pleasant surprises. It makes a difference. To be one of those surprises, though, you better be super cute, excellent resume, and great personality. This is where rho chis have an impact that is understood but never really acknowledged.

I would say that most of the pre-known top PNMs tend to go DDD, KKG, KD and XO (depending on where they are from), but AXO and PM do better with the new discoveries during rush week itself. So it tends to even out in the end.

It's good to not have your entire pledge class chosen before rush starts. No house gets all their top PNMs and sometimes there are really good surprises from OOR if you keep your eyes open!

I agree that AXO and PM have actives that are Rho Chis and that those actives are low key recruiting unknown top girls by saying good things about AXO and PM in the context of that relationship—and this is a form of dirty rushing. Then those Rho Chis low key tell their in-house friends about girls they have “discovered” and then, low and behold, some unknown from Kansas ends up in PM or AXO on bid day.... not a coincidence.

Honestly - no one in any of these houses really cares what YOU think
These are good competitive houses all. The actives got in because the house they chose fit them.
They didn't choose the others 'cause they didn't fit them. Or they chose from the most simliar of these and are happy where they landed.
But no one In any of these houses in moping around saying with I was somwhere else. \n\n\n\n\n

Out of all of Old Row, DDD and AagD take the most QR girls. It’s not a good thing.

I don't think any OR house has significantly more QRs than any other. And I don't think any of these houses should be throwing stones.
Sometimes you take a risk on a girl that you really like who may have made a bad decision or two in HS. They have learned from it and moved on and make a great addition to the chapter. And other times, you don't even know you've pledged a QR until it's too late.
I'd be careful about being too judgemental. It's not an attractive quality in my opinion....

Any top group that does not include axo and pmu would be onktvfor in state pnms from certain areas long connected to the different houses.
