greekrank
by: bamagirlI was wondering if Actives look at greek rank? Like if a pnm puts up a post with personal information, will actives be able to narrow down who the pnm is and will it negatively effect their chances and make them look desperate?

It can put your recruitment at risk. I and other alumnae check out these boards because we do a lot of recs, and every year, repair damage caused by something a PNM or her parents have read out here. We try to be prepared, but one thing we're bothered to see is how much identifying info some PNMs are posting. Some parents are doing it, too, as are some guys heading into fraternity rush. It's supposed to be anonymous, but some people are giving up everything except full name, SSN and bra size.
They're making themselves easy to identify. The worst is when this PNM announces she's only interested in ABC or XYZ sorority, or is only willing to consider top tier. That's breaking a big rule of recruitment etiquette because it's rude and offensive to other chapters who might then think PNM isn't open to anyone else. Because they can only extend a certain number of bids, why chance wasting one on someone who indicates she'll reject it? Well, if that PNM ends up dropped by the sorority(ies) she really is interested in, then she's not going anywhere on Bid Day.
Idk if asking a legit question makes a PNM look desperate. People understand there will be questions, but sometimes a PNM (in hopes of making a good impression) comes across as conceited, entitled, superficial or "look-at-how-super-special-I-am." Best to avoid that. And if you must ask a question , do it without revealing where you're from, GPA, activities, legacy info and a physical description of yourself.

They do and they laugh at the nonsense. However sometimes clean up becomes necessary because even though a ton of this is misinformation we have seen how that can spread like a wild fire. It’s why we have an inept and cognitively impaired POTUS getting us caught up in WWIII.

If my house identifies a pnm posting on here, we will drop them asap from recruitment. This site is heavily run by trolls and gdis, and there are plenty of other places to ask questions that are legit.
Luckily, very few real pnms are posting here. 2 years ago when I went through recruitment, greek rank was an absolute joke. That hasn’t changed.
