what do all of the hashtags mean?

I’ve seen ones that just don’t make any sense? Like mtrckd or otbwd is is alpha chi I think? and there’s a weird tri delta one I saw when I was stalking some active that’s like dbasmmtgd or something? Do they just make these up? And everyone goes with them?
