Why are people so hard on Alpha Gam? They are involved, nice, smart, and consistently recruit well

I honestly agree with you. I'm NOT in alpha gam, I'm in a new row sorority but I honestly loved alpha gam going through rush, but not many other people did. Guess they just have some flops but all the girls I talked to during rush were so sweet and genuine

They're second in grades, they got Homecoming Queen this year as well as tons of other involvement, and they have a rich tradition as a First Circle sorority and the house of choice for The Bear's female relatives. Stereotypically they're known for being the least attractive Old Row sorority, but the past couple of years they've gotten some really beautiful girls. In my opinion they're also the nicest and most attitude-free Old Row house.

I guess the one drawback is that Alpha Gam isn't very strong nationally. Bama and Auburn have their only really good chapters at big Greek schools.

Least Attractive is right. So Many New Row Sororities are a better choice with a better rep than this one.

Because AGD is at the top. And when you're at the top, everybody tries to knock you down. You can get more illumination on this from Coach Saban.

Alpha Gam is top tier at only 2-3 schools nationwide. It struggles at most colleges, so alot of girls will not consider them. Squirrels, no thanks.

Their 2012 homecoming queen was an AGD! Can't argue with that. And AGD is def better than any new row sorority. Especially a sorority not machine-backed.

Simply the only reason a bunch of negative comments were written about alpha gam and alpha chi (and a few other sororities) is that they had a high ranking on Greek Rank due to a low number of mostly positive rankings. A certain group wanted to be ranked at the top and down ranked. Rush is competitive and both of these sororities do well.
