sure what your chances are, but I know plenty of out-of-state girls who have found sorority homes at Bama. Some went old row, some went new row, some were legacies, some weren't. What you need to focus on is finding the best house for YOU. Bama is a big recruitment and very competitive, so you need to have an open mind and be willing to give all the sororities a chance. Girls who go into rush with their hearts set just on certain chapters run a greater risk of being disappointed. When it's time to rank chapters after rounds, don't eliminate a house you liked just because they aren't old row. If you're getting invites back, stick with the process. The majority of girls who don't get bids are ones who drop out because they don't like their return invites. That can be a huge mistake because your opinion of chapters can change as the week goes on, especially at pref parties.

Bama has a strong Greek life and every sorority has great women and a lot to offer. Be sure to get a couple of recommendations to every chapter -- you probably won't make it past first round parties without them. Good luck to you!
