does KA get such a bump? They don't have the history of SAE or DKE or even Phi Gam, and their being outshinned by like 6 new row houses.

no more historic here than KE. Was founded years later than many and even then they started under a different name after stealing kids and rituals from ATO.
Their policy of only alabama kids has killed them, as they have had 3 successive pledge classes stock full of legacies and family connected kids who would not get bids from any other top 10 house.
If they weren't old row, I'd rank them 12 or 13.

A little too harsh on the ranking, but pretty accurate on the description.
I'd put them about 7 because there are a vocal minority of folks that want them as a top house, even though the reality of their past few pledge classes has to tell them otherwise.

Most KA's(that I know)got bids from other houses. Y'all do severely hate them, though, for what I do not know.

I don't hate KA. I think they add to the atmosphere. But I don't think they have been a top 5 house since I've been here, cause what 's been said about their kids - I think a bunch of them are not top recruits, and it's not surprising when I think how much worse my house would be with some of the great guys we have from the rest of Dixie + our token Yankees are tremendous adds.

from outside Bama, and 1 of the kids I know is a legacy from another chapter. I saw it here before: we would look like Miss St. if we didn't recruit from outside of Bama.
KA looks better than Miss State's football team because they have a strong foundation, but they are losing a huge amount of talent and replacing it with many if not most kids who are not great.

was better, but Sheepherder's revised one plus one posted in that discussion (basically same as the one posted above in this discussion) are the best in my opinion.
