transfer
by: PNMI'm an incoming freshman who will rush, but I am nervous I won't be able to afford all 4 years and might end up transferring to a state school. After I rush can I stay in the same sorority at a different school no matter what sorority it is if they have it there? or does it depend on the rules of the sorority I rush?

Once you're initiated into a sorority you're in it for life... Doesn't matter if you were an active for a few days or a few years, you're still a part of the system. That being said, if you do transfer out of Alabama to a different school you will go "inactive" at the chapter here. And if your new school has a chapter for your sorority then you can apply through them and follow any procedures they may have to re affiliate with them if they see you're fit.
