swaps

Every sorority does not swap with every fraternity and I'm tired of bottom tier houses trying to say they do.
For instance houses like PM/KKG/AXO/XO will swap with all the old row/ university blvd new row houses almost every year if not every year.
Middle houses like PBP/ZTA/APhi/ADPi will swap with some old row, but mostly University blvd new row maybe 1 or 2 jefferson (usually delta chi- best on jefferson)
Houses like Theta/DZ will swap with almost all jefferson, maybe one or 2 university blvd new row houses at best.
Yall can come on here and say you're bottom and had old row swaps but if you did its very rare. Its fine, Jefferson guys are fun too and I'm sure your swaps are all super fun but its a blatant lie saying all frats and sororities swap.
Also I've heard of University blvd frats half assing their swaps with lower tier.
Basically swaps are planned by the frat and sorority swap chair reaching out to plan them. Its not like a rotation or something like some houses make it seem.

Let me see if I can make sense of this ridiculousness. You're spewing all of this for the benefit of PNMS??? I find that pretty suspicious. If you're in such a top house why do care if PNMS know if other houses swap with fraternities on University or not? Aren't you mainly recruiting in-state top girls that don't give a dang who DZ and Theta swap with?!?! You're either a mom or some old lady that has absolutely NO idea who actually swaps with who each week. If you did keep some elaborate calendar of who all swapped with who every fall then you my dear have issues and need to get a life!

So you're telling me that if I don't want to put up with entitled, snot nosed, a&&hole, fratstar jerks, who think they are better than everyone because they are from Alabama or that women wanna be all over their jock because they think they are the coolest thing on campus, I should go new row/lower tier?
Awesome! Thanks for the info!

i love how the OP and everyone who's agreeing thinks swaps like this matter. like y'all realize the only reason we have swaps is so the freshmen can be safely integrated into the college party scene without like dying? thus why swaps are mainly for freshmen, thus why they need to check in and out, thus why there's sober actives keeping watch, thus why they're escorted to and from the party, etc.
swaps are for the freshmen to have fun and be safe. period. they're not an accurate way to depict a sororities' "status" because, as the people above said, the sororities choose who they want to swap with and they choose the houses that they know their girls most enjoy... so yes, some sororities have a majority of girls who prefer old row men while other sororities have a majority of girls who prefer jefferson... but that doesn't reflect any type of "status."
it's a shame that people are so quick to judge and try to make up lies like this. like idk why y'all are so upset that you need to pick on other houses. every house here is amazing, every house here does have a full social calendar, and ranks/tiers don't matter.

The old row must be worried about the new row houses to tell such an easily found out whopper. Low sororities do swap with high fraternities and low fraternities swap with high sororities. Because not everyone is only concerned with greekrank. There are lots of great people in every house and those people get to know each other and plan swaps. Look at social calendars if you don't believe me.

What you need to realize about swaps is that it's hard to plan a calendar full of social events, especially when you're limited to having swaps on only Thursdays. That being said, if all 16 sororities are planning swaps for the semester, not all the sororities can swap with certain "high-demand" frats... @OP, unless you're a social chair yourself, which I doubt you are, you have no idea what goes on with planning everything. Just because certain sororities don't have swaps with certain fraternities doesn't mean said sororities are "bottom." It means that the frat literally has no available time to host a social event, regardless of whether or not they like the sorority. And frankly, most girls don't really mind who they swap with, it's a party with boys and free alc, they're just trying to have a fun night. Lastly, I have friends in various "lower ranked" houses and their social calendars are doing just fine, they tell me about all their fun times with frats of all "tiers," and it seems like everyone's having fun. Most people, boys and girls, aren't close minded like this, no one sees swaps as a thing of "status," and if they do then that's truly sad.

Who the hell cares! All we hear is how "top" tier has better grades sisterhood and involvement blah blah blah and now they have better swaps too. Reality is there is no "top tier". Shocking I know but we are individuals who can think for ourselves. What is top to one may be middle to another and that is fine! Just because a house swaps with an old row frat doesn't make them better or worse and vice versa. Once and for all old row(both frats and sororities) is NOT better. Times have changed. Greek life at bama is moving forward whether they want to believe it or not. Yes there are great old row houses but there are also great new row houses. For that matter all the houses are great! The OP sounds desperate in an effort to appeal to pnms who value the social aspect.

Had to be said because top houses recruit off of scaring girls out of choosing houses they love by telling them that no fraternity will swap with that house. But fortunately, it's not true. Look at some actual social calendars and you'll see that this op is fake news.
