who are the fakest sororities?
by: RealI don't want to go into recruitment and fall in love with a house that isn't like the way they present themselves. Which sororities are known to "fake their way" during rush?

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I don't think most sororities "fake their way."
You can tell the difference between APhi and AOPi because those girls fundamentally style themselves differently. You can tell how KD would treat you as a member based on how their actives talk to you. Even little things like where your rusher is from, what they decide to talk to you about, how they react to your responses - all of those are pretty indicative of that chapter.
Houses take the approach to recruitment that suits them, so generally the approach you see is the attitude you'll get. Yes some houses are WAY better at selling themselves than others, but it's not like they are selling a product fundamentally different from what they offer... That's my 2 cents anyways...

To answer your question @OP, the houses that have a reputation for this are probably Alpha Phi, Zeta, PM, and KD. However, I think the way they presents themselves during rush is an pretty accurate look at the vibes in the house. You should be able to tell pretty quickly if you are their type of girl or not.

I agree that ZTA and APhi act the fakest, but I don't think they try to act differently during rush. Those are two different things. If you like their look, you will like them in rush.

I disagree. Yes some people in a phi, zeta, and phi mu may wear a lot of makeup, have hair extensions, and wear fake lashes but that doesn't make them fake people. They are who they are and they own it. They don't pretend to be the most scholarly or Christian etc...Fake to me is someone who preaches one thing yet acts another way. Other houses fit that description much more than those houses.

When you see how girls in APhi/ZTA/Phi Mu look during rush you know they will look like that during the school year too. That's not fake. It's them.
As someone else said, if you see a bunch of spray-tanned girls with caked on makeup, and you don't want to be in a house that forces you to look that way, then don't join that house. But it doesn't make those girls "fake" if they LIKE that look anyway.

We’re not just talking about fake in appearance. We mean fake as in their personality and who they are. Those three houses are the least authentic sisterhoods on campus. They would literally sleep with their pledge sisters brother even if it would damage their friendship (this actually happened in Zeta. The president slept with someone’s brother and they removed her as president).

Recruitment is more or less fake on many levels. Actives and pnms are all on their A game. They are trying to impress each other and want you to want them. They avoid the taboo subjects, dress a certain way, and take extra time on hair and makeup in order to impress. As far as actives go if they don't like you they aren't going to show it because it would be impolite. Towards the end of the process it will become more real and you will be able to see what the house is really all about. If you are genuine during recruitment you will find your home. If you are putting on an act you may end up unhappy. Be yourself and it should all work out.

I agree but I also think that being "on your A game" means "putting a super positive spin on your house's personality" not "changing your house's personality entirely". i don't think any house in particular pretends to be something they aren't, they just try super duper hard to make you like what they are.

No, you're lying to yourself if you think you can't tell the difference between sorority girls at parties.
USUALLY APhi and ZTA (and the other NR houses) are more East Coast/West Coast looking... Meaning they wear those trends. They're more likely wearing thick black chokers, a short denim skirt, and a crop top. Their hair is usually died (either blonde or highlights if brunette), their makeup is usually more dramatic (bold lips, extensive eye looks, fake eyelashes), and they usually have those bulky acrylic nails.
USUALLY PM and KD (and the other OR houses) are more Southern looking... Meaning they're more likely wearing something more "classic." Like, from what I've seen, a lot of going out clothes for OR girls consists of more plain pieces that cover a little more or aren't as tight and give a sort of "timeless" look that could be worn to a nice lunch/dinner. They tend to accessorize more with bold pieces, their makeup is more subtle, their hair is usually teased and/or curled, and their nails are done but they're not fake.
Idk, personally I feel like I can tell a difference between sororities, not that any of that's bad. However you want to dress is up to you lol I'm not trying to condemn anyone... I'm just saying.

I'm a well travelled troll.
But what's funny to me is "coastal" women (east coast, and California) and women in the Midwest - when you are there - are much less likely to wear overdone make up, highlights, fake nails, etc compared to women in the south
What happens in Bama to reverse this observation??

It’s easy to tell who’s an Alpha Phi at a darty. Just look at what fraternity house you’re at. If it’s a top houses, none of the girls there will be Alpha Phis. If it’s a bottom house, they’ll all be Alpha Phi.
